Welcome to The Mantis Kung Fu Academy – Home of the Black Mantis – The longest established Southern Preying Mantis school on the Gold Coast
The Mantis Kung Fu Academy is a family orientated mantis kung fu school. The Black Mantis logo is unique to Sifu Matthew Hansen’s training system. We cater for anyone who is interested in learning a traditional, yet modern, fighting and self defence mantis kung fu style.
Our instructors are AKWF and MAIA accredited. All instructors have current first aid certificates and Blue Cards.
At our academy, you are able to suit your training requirements to your own needs. You can join our regular Mantis Kung Fu classes in a group scenario or engage in a private lesson, either at our academy, in the privacy of your own home or at your favourite park or beach.
All lessons are held in a safe and regulated training environment, overseen by Sifu Matthew Hansen or a high level senior mantis kung fu instructor.
